well after Halloween i installed hose clamps on both trucks
some lady was walking up with her kids, so they could get candy (we were in the driveway passing out candy) (we don't need a van like TheStepChild)
and she was going on about how she liked the truck and how its always clean, etc etc etc, and then said "aren't you the guy that just had your wheels stolen?" because i had the stock 20s off the gray gasser stolen
and i said "Yes Maem" and she told me the easiest way to help deter thieves besides shooting their heads off, is to put hose clamps and turn it to where the bolt head is on the inside of the tailgate metal, and torque the shit out of it!
so thats what i did
got bored and checked the rear diff magnet for shavings, and this is what i got after about 21k miles
got under the truck to look around and saw this.
i still need to order that sensor!!
went to 4 wheel parts and bought two new lug nut keys. I lost the one i had previously, its probably hidden really well in the truck :rofl
put new lower ball joints in while it was down. I broke the platforms off the torsion bar bracket, cleaned them up, re-welded them, and instead of grinding the welds i used Quick Steel (in a tube) and applied it, and used a piece of straight cardboard to even up the lines and make indentations in it, for flare :thumb
also painted the stock UCA's that will be installed sometime soon
to take your tailgate off, you must "LIFT" up on the passenger side, and "SLIDE" it to the right to remove the tailgate
if you put a hose clamp around the half circle of the bedside and the solid circle of the tailgate, it no longer has a way to be "lifted out" of its slot, which keeps your from "sliding" it to the right and running off!!
go check out your truck and you will see exactly what i'm talking about!!
