How are you going to keep the mount from rotating?

Did you see the top stud :) it's bolted twice in a horizontal and vertical way before dropping down

The lower shock mount won't move if doubled up with one stud

Interesting way to do it.

I wouldn't mind mocking if up, if there was any way that this would work on my LBZ.

lets build it Justin :thumb

only issue would be, for both 01-10 & 11-15 is the shocks would have to be a tad shorter, unless its ok to run roughly 1 /1.5" less stroke *depending on how much shock stroke is actually utilized!

but thats when you look at how much is the suspension really going to compress vs how much shock stroke is actually happening, then you gotta break the grease out again and see how much stroke is going on :)

Yep and I could use the stack as a rod holder!

Jdub, I'm wondering if the lower mount with stud would cause the stud to bend without being supported on one end. Could weld a single bracket on each side of the axle to make a twin mount. I'll have to crawl under and have a look. The dually has a little less real estate to work with, especially with the air bags.

Eric, the air bumps are cool but the larger problem is rebound. I can work the compression with the bag PSI.

Thanks for the thoughts. Good ideas. You'll make a shock engineer before long JDub

I was planning on rotating the rear shock mounts so they don't hanged down. Just as others have done. After I get my front end squared away and figure out what I'm going to do then I'll tackle that.

You may be right. Was looking at some aftermarket dual shock set ups and they seem to follow that thought. Just wonder how many of these mall crawlers actually work the suspension hard for thousands of miles with 4k plus in the bed.

Only one way to find out :)

There are easier ways, I was just trying to pitch one or two that didn't require welding or cutting or drilling :)
