Started working on installing the DRP sump I bought from Lyle a long while ago..

I went ahead and installed new FASS filters and I’ll install the CAT filter tomorrow since I’ll need to pull the fender liner.

Pretty straight forward, you’ll need a 3.25” hole saw and buckets or containers to hold your fuel.... lucky me I got antsy and drained 3/8 of a tank :)

Any clean container I had I filled and poured it into the tank for the old Cummins, the rest I’ll save for later.

Lucky me I had a swivel fitting for half inch line!

It worked perfectly because I wanted the return port to point down so I could easily run the line to the sump without kinking it so close to the frame. I put a street elbow for the tank feed port.

Still waiting..

Finally what seemed like a lifetime later I cut the hole, cleaned it up, and pulled any shavings towards the center, and deemed it ready to rock.

Running it up

Making sure the top piece is centered with the cut hole, and then when the bottom part goes up it stays straight for the hoses.

Flat oring should do it’s job!

Done deal for now

Tomorrow I’ll get some loom to protect the long sections, cut the cover for the sump to sit flush inside, and change the CAT filter up front and add some fuel..

And I’ll have to find a hose repair kit again because I somehow lost the one I bought last weekend :(

That way I can fix the filler neck!

I mean, this could work... keep the fuel cool.

Looks good Jeff I used some spiral hydraulic hose protection on my line coming off my sump. Got it from NC Machinery shop.
Here are a couple of pics for reference

Still looks like new and last a longtime with no worries.

Heck yeah!

You never wanted to put your cover back on?

I ended up with 3/4” loom today

Finished up the install today and even replaced the CAT filter up front.

Ended up using 3/4” loom to add protection from rubbing though I used three spaced out zip ties to hold the lines together above the cover.

Cut the cover and realized I was a little off (eye balled it) and trimmed some more and scoffed the edges with a flap disc.

Removed the liner and changed out the CAT filter up front, and went ahead and used my new hose repair kit (middle size piece from the kit) and tied the filler neck hoses together.

I like how it doesn’t hang down past the cover much at all and the lines are concealed between cover and tank.

I’ll need to clean up my edges a little on the cover, I’ve noticed a few things :(

But the concealing of the hoses was my objective, but making such a big hole wasn’t.... but it’ll be fine!

Throwback TUESDAY!

Does anyone happen to have the old cable that iirc the mini maxx used? The cable that fit the OBD2 but converted over to HDMI?

I am trying to buy/borrow one so I can hook my old Bully Dog GT Tuner up to my Gasser to see what I can change (mainly tire size) before I try another route to correct the speedometer..

Finding one seems to be a lost cause and eBay failed me which is weird..

Heck no!

I need it on the free fiddy or close to it :)

I just need one to verify:
A. Does the truck have a canned tune on it
B. Does the old tuner I have it have the ability to turn off the DOD feature and change tire size to correct the Speedo

That or beg a friend and see if his equipment can disable the TPMS, correct the speedometer, and possibly disable the DOD feature
