I have had to replace the BCM because of this, but here is the test:
1. Disconnect the door latch switch connector on the latch. Dark Blue/Black wire and a Black wire.
2. Check for more than 10 volts on the Light Blue/Black wire.
3. If the voltage is low, remove the wire from the Body Control Module (BCM) 16 cavity Purple connector at terminal A2 (this wire changes color to a Light Green/Black). Check for more than 10 volts on the BCM side of the circuit.
4. If the voltage is now high, check for a shorted wire between the BCM and the door latch.
5. If the voltage is still low, replace the BCM.
