Hey guys I’ve been lurking for a long time and recently purchased my first diesel. I bought an 04 LB7 that needs a little love. When I bought the truck the air dog lift pump wasn’t working. I found it had a bad relay and swapped it out and now the pump works well. However, with the pump running I am getting a knock on the driver’s side as well as a rough idle. As soon as I disconnect the air dog, the knock goes away and the engine runs smoothly. I am thinking the pressure is turned up too high on the air dog but I’m not sure. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Certainly worth trying. That would be my first and likely last step.

If you dial the pressure screw on the AirDog all the down (out I believe), you should be down to the 8 psi that the LB7 likes fro the AD.
