Hi I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with a 6.6 Ib7 while I was driving the truck randomly died felt like it was out of gas , now no matter what I do it won't fire . I'm wondering if I can bypass my fuel filter assembly just to get me home? no I don't have a lift pump by the way!

I don't think bypassing your filter will help without a lift pump. You will not have a way to prime the system without the filter head. Did you get any error codes before it died? It sounds like you did run out of fuel or have air in the system. That is where I would start.

Got it running ! It was just a bad filter ! Thanks tho
