I have a 2002 Duramax, with an Edge Chip, and four inch exhaust. I pulled my fifth wheel out of storage and pulled it to my house. When I got to my house and the truck was idling I noticed it was smoking pretty good. When I checked the injector rates I didn't have anything more then a +2 balance rate on one injector and the rest was less then + or - 1. So, my question is whats causing the truck to smoke and should I be worried?

Take the edge off and see if it still does it.

What edge chip do you have? An what color smoke? Blue, white, black?

Does the smoke have a strong diesel odor?

Thanks guys for your reply! I have a juice with attitude CS chip. The smoke is probably whitesh grey color and has a strong oder but smells like diesel exhaust and not so much like un-burnt diesel.

I'm Havin the same problem. Mine white smokes bad. Haven't checked rates in a few months but even it first started doin it only 2 injectors were a hair over 2. I did the DIY injector cleaning and it cleared the smoke up for a little while but now it's back. So maybe try that

Sounds like you maybe encountering some injector issues. You may want to start by doing a return rate test.
