nope they wont last. even the "new" ones are still the same design flaws from the original.

put as much filtration in between the fuel tank and the injectors as possible.

pat yourself on the back for being able to find a dealer that will do that for you, but they unfortunately will go out again, and again, and again, and well you get the point.

look around on here, as alot of knowledge can be gained on how to prolong them

sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I also have an LB7, and happen to love it :)

some guys have 250-300K+ miles on their original sticks, some get 75-100K out of a set

I am a recent owner of an 04 2500. I quickly found out about the dreaded d-max injector problem. I checked back with the dealer that I bought it from for warrenty info and was told about the 7 year 200000 mile warrant. But as my luck goes, the seven years expired before I bought it. 150,000 miles btw. So I did some homework and was getting ready to replace the one, but i wanted to double check before I tore into it. I went to a different Chevy dealer and they said that GM wanted to "save face with their customers". They will buy all 8 injectors. Unfortunately though, I have to pay for the labor. About $1700. A steep price considering I have only had the truck for 4 months, but as big of a job as it is to replace one, I can't turn the offer down. I cant even buy a set of remans for that price.

Does anybody know if the new injectors will last?

^^2 this is something i'm gonna call a MUST for any LB7 motor

i wish i could, but thats just not my style.

i couldnt try to sugar coat something like that...

in all seriousness, you should easily get over 100000 miles out of one if you take care of them. depending on how much you drive, that could be a few yrs or 10. you'll prob end up like half the guys on here and upgrading trucks to a newer model after a few years with this one

i'm sorry if i scared you i wasnt trying to i just wanted you to have a realistic view of it.

i freaked out when i found out to. trust me

oh ok. i was just making sure they werent telling you some crazy line of BS about the injectors.

some good news is that in '08 they fixed parts on the body that have drastically reduced the types of failures from the injectors
