LBZ with terrible MPG HELP?

Hi, first time posting here but I've been reading for a while. I have a 2006 gmc duramax 4x4 with 4" rancho lift and airbags, 315/75r16 on factory wheels, banks ram air, banks exhaust, banks ottomind 6 with banks iq and a 45gal fuel tank.

On setting "3" (right above economy) I only average 10-13.5 mpg in city/highway use. Is there anyway to increase my fuel mileage? I don't baby it 24/7 but I don't abuse it either. Thanks!

There's a few thing switch it efi live with a good tuner and you could move to a smaller tires but I don't see that happening

The more power you have the less you have to push the pedal hence better MPG, or at least thats what I like to tell my self....

EFI live helped mine a lot, big rims and tires took me back down to where I was at first though..

much better with efi live and a good programmer, much worse with big ballon tires lol

EFI Helped me now at 70mph 18.5 towing my light quad trailer, around 20 with camper on hwy, only about 10 hunting in 4x4 hills I was getting about 14 in tow and 16 hwy, so I am more than happy with the efi tune

If u get efi get the egr turned off
It helped big time on mine for mpg

I have the same lift running 35's, EFI tune with some other extras (in my sig) and cruising on the freeway (Maryland / PA area) at 68-72 mph I avg 20-23 mpg. That is gentle take offs and not driving like a fool, all hand calculated.

Run it on the highest level 6 or 7...try and keep your foot out of it and see if it goes up...

and 315/75's on a 6.5 rim!? idk about that lol

I would delete it, and get EFI live.

I got 12-13 mpg on the interstate with 33s.

I have EFI live now and I ca average 17 win my foot constantly in it.

Ditch Banks, they suck.

Go with a major tuner and convert to EFILive, you'll be far happier !!

Banks doesn't suck...all of these tunners have more power potential then banks but you run a hot tune on efi or anything your going to have smoke....haze or clouds, you will smoke....banks doesn't smoke even on a max effort tune...banks tunes are for the person that wants reliability not wheel smoking power...take a tour at banks r&d & you will understand.....they hold land speed record on a pickup....hold a 7.7sec rail car...and neither smoke...Navy SEALs have a twin 800hp duramax gofast boat...so my point is....its a great tuner but its what your looking for in your tuner... also banks makes custom tunes even for bigger turbos and inj....

My dad's 07 LBZ has banks in it and he has tons of problems with it
And on level 6 it does roll Coal
more than my EFI he also has terrible mpg

In my opinion get rid of the banks
All banks does is fool the ECM in your truck.

I average anywhere from 9-15 mpg, In my 08' LMM, it has 42k miles. It weighs 7700 empty and 8700 loaded and I only run 40 psi air pressure, it's been going like that since 25k miles. The 35's make a big difference on these I recon. My LLY did way better. So it's normal. I have good tuning and I drive hard and live in the hills. Going down south on flat ground I did around 16-19 mpg.

watching this for similar issues, just getting the efi set up so i am hoping for gains soon.

Before efi live

285/75r16 stock wheels I could average 17 @ 70 mph
305/55r20 20x10s I averaged 12-14mpg @ 70

AFTER EFI LIVE
305/55r20 I'm averaging 19 mpg @ 70 mph. So to anyone on the fence about efi or the disbelievers we have thinking their box tuners are the holy grail, here's your proof
