Leveled Alignment Specs

14489 Views 12 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  FFRidgeway
I just put 305/70/16s on my truck, I have the TBs cranked and am getting ready to install 2" rear lift blocks. Nobody around here seems to know how to align the leveled GMC besides a dealership (closed today). Do you know where I can find the alignment specs for this setup?

Thanks!

You don't have to go to the dealer you could go to a tire or alignment shop here cost is $50- $100
Yeah, that is my intention. That's why I need the specs. The tireshops around here like Discount, Big O, etc. try to level according to factory specs, not being leveled.
Wow they must be retards. I would not take my truck to some one that does not know how to do there job. The specs are the same as not leaveld. Most shops have lazer alignment racks and the knowlage of how to use it
Ya I agree.. Just take it to any tire shop or whoevers cheapest. It NEEDS to be at factory spec or it will wear tires out. Actually, a alignment is a alignment. We do them all the same at our shop :cool:

while we're on the subject... when I got my centerlink, Michael told me to have them align the truck with camber straight up and down, no adjustment for road crown (straight ahead steer), and I think it was 1/8th" toe in max. Will that give me added tire wear?

The alignment specs are the same leveled or not leveled....

Right?
When I added my leveling kit from Cognito they gave me the alignment specs for a leveled truck. Maybe had to do with the UCA's...
I have heard this as well... that's why I was asking.
its all the same they just have to adjust the cambers and toe if they can't figure that out they're dumb.
Unfortunately, those people are out there. Sometimes hard to avoid. They let anybody work in those tire shops.
yeah i talked to a guy one here that lives near me, said sears auto center pulled the same stuff on him, he flipped.

Have you received a straight answer as far as the alignment specs for leveled GMC 2500 HD? Ive had my truck to 2 different shops and none of them have gotten it correct yet. (Still pulls like hell to the right) 'dunno;'dunno;
