Well after hours of searching the old internet and asking on different forums here and there i finally found some guys that have figured this out. There is two solutions to this the first one involves more work but i will share both.

The first way is to buy a 1/4 npt male to 3/8 npt female fitting. Drilled it out with a 9/32 bit. Then replaced the factory fitting with a 3/8 to 1/4.
To replace the factory fitting around the sensor remove the grey clamp that goes around the wires on the bottom side of the plug using an o-ring pic or a small screw driver.

Next remove the purple clip on the inside by gently prying up on it.

Then gentle pry back on the wire locks to remove the wires.

Slide the old fitting off the wires and install new one.

Put the connector back together. Drill and tap your manifold for the 1/4 npt fitting and then install the fitting. Then install the sensor and plug it into the factory harness and your done.
With this method they were saying to make sure you have sensor in tight you need to get a 1/4 diamiter spacer and install it on the sensor before installing it in the fitting on the manifold.

The seconded way is a lot easier. Buy a 14mm by 1.5 female to a 1/4 npt male fitting.

Drill and tap your exhaust manifold to 1/4 pipe. Screw the fitting in and then simply install your sensor into the fitting and done. if you want to do it this way this is the fitting that is needed. https://www.hydradynellc.com/product/1-4m14fhg8s/pipe-port-reducer-expander-conversion-fhg8

I have to give credit where it is due:

Derek Allen on LML Duramax Brethren Facebook page is where I found the first method and the finish photos. He posted the how to back in April of 2017.

Maynard Shope from EZ Lynk Forum on Facebook gave me the info and web site for the seconded method.

I just wanted to share here because i have seen people asking about it while i was trying to find a way to do it.

Last question lol, did you buy the fitting from that site or find it local. Maybe a truck parts store? $30 seems kinda nuts for a steel fitting.
Your all good I checked every hyd store in town and found nothing ended up just buying it from that online store

What thread sealant are you using when screwing the adapter into the manifold?

Well finally put it in. Reads 1713 still. What plug did you use?
When I get home I’ll look for you and see if it’s labeled. It was the one for the temp sensor in to down pipe but I don’t remember it was labeled.

Reading it with mini maxx deleted?
Yes until my mini max broke. You can select between two different temp sensors on the mini max have you tried switching to the other one and if I remember correctly in the menu you can select between it using oem sensor or the H&S sensor you can add on to the mini max.

Yeah I have done all that. I bet I just picked the wrong plug. During delete I removed 3 pyro sensors. I bet I'm using the only one of the 3 the minimaxx can't see lol.

Well I'm almost convinced it wont work. I even plugged all 3 pyro back in. All still read 1713. I might pump the stock tune with emissions back into it just to see if it reads the sensors just so I know for certain. Other than that I'm dumbfounded.

Yea that doesn’t make sense that it’s not seeing them. That’s the best I can do for a picture there is no writing or tag of any kind on there. Wish I could be of more assistance for you.
