I have 48000 miles on the truck and the #6 glow plug is bad. Is this a normal problem or a start of problems of the rest of them? Is it covered under the warranty?

Yes, it is covered under your under your power train warranty. I had the same thing happen on a company truck with 49,000 on the clock. What the dealership will do is replace all of them at the same time. I was told that GM requires all to be replaced not just one under warrenty.
