This has been a thought of mine for a while now and I wanna hear some better opinions on this.
The lml's don't have the ability to be read like the other models according to what I've read. That got me thinking about this, what if you took the lmm ECM/injectors/anything required to make it run on the lml and hooked it up, then you could read and use efi live with the lml right? Not sure what all would need to be changed but I could see the lmm ECM having enough tables to make the lml run. Any thoughts or ideas on this? Might be worth it if you found a wrecked lmm with all the parts..Anyone want to try? Lol

Hmm I would be very interested to see the results of this. I'm getting a new truck in 2 years and I can't decide on a lmm or lml this might determine it though!

I just don't see the overall pro's outweighing the con's.

I agree that it would be impractical but doable? Yes IMO.

lol i know. i was wondering the same thing. swap ecu's and stuff. i only posted that as a reference that i had asked it already and never really got a clear cut answer. would be sweettttttt if someone would try it!!!

X2... yeah I don't see it working or happening anytime soon. Itd be easier to put an lml body on an lmm. Or better yet, just change the bumper and grill over. Your basically accomplishing the same thing.

What all is different that needs to be controlled? Assuming you had a donor lmm itd be doable I think. Then sell off what's left of the lmm and there you have it.

What's better about the lml to some is the frame and suspension so swapping bumpers and making it look the same isn't the same thing as an efi lml..Just a look alike.

Would I do it? No because I don't need the payload capacity of an lml nor do I need a frame like that, but to someone it may be worth it. A fuel system swap isn't the hardest thing to do..Idk. Just a thought.

the reason i asked about it is because the denali looks so damn good and the a/c seats sound awesome. plus i wont be able to buy a brand new lmm anymore. also, who knows i might like the 2013 when it comes out. dunno what it will look like tho but no efi = no buy
