I've got a 04 LLY that has a EDge programmer (15 years old now) and Straight exhaust RBP pipe. Just bought a Air Dog 165 Lift pump and Beans Sump, Aftermarket mouthpiece , Hot side intercooler pipe, (Cold Side is out of stock), 3" downpipe, and looking to order a EGR delete and aftermarket YBridge set up.
I figured since I'll already be tearing stuff off the motor, I might as well upgrade the turbo. What's your guys thoughts on this Turbo wheel and housing?

Or what would you suggest ?

Essentially it’s the same as me with the wicked wheel 2 and the 10 blade turbine. I had my turbo rebuilt and the whistle is crazy loud. You’ll love it

I was messaging back and fourth with KB Diesel Performance today and they set me up with all the part numbers I'll need for this set up. You dont by chance have any video of your truck running do you? How is it when driving down the freeway? Is it annoying loud where you have to talk over it.

I got the 10 blade and the rebuild kit from KC Turbos. I had a local turbo rebuilder do the work. I do not have any videos of my truck. I have the stock vanes as well. The whistle is not bad at all at highway speeds. Nothing that the radio knob can’t fix a little bit. It sounds amazing. Your gonna love it. Watch the videos. You tell me.

ordered it up today. thanks for the info. I went with the complete kit with Powder coated housing and new Low profile Vanes & Billet Unison Ring. I'm hoping upgrading/ adding all this at the same time ( down pipe, Wicked Wheel, vanes, Hot side innercooler pipe 3', Lift pump 165, EGR blocker plate & Bibber turbo mouth piece) I should be able to feel a huge difference in power and cooler engine temps.

I’m in Southern California and we just had/having a heat wave so weekend weather was 112 on my driveway. It was miserable. We threw the towel in early. Also have to work on the wife’s Yukon so it took most of my day up. But hitting it again this weekend. Here’s some pics.
got the shock towers removed and the down pipe removed. Got a few more bolts off the back up pipes.

Got a few more updates for you guys that are following. Yesterday we got both up pipes removed and the turbo removed. This was huge.
we wrapped up the day installing the beans sump kit and an Air Dog 165. I want to make the fuel line routing clean so I had to order 2 more 90deg quick connect fittings and some hose management holders.
also ordered up a Y-bridge strap to hold the presses in tube better as a precaution.

Ya. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome after the scrubbing. I’m not going to paint it. Pretty pointless since it will just burn off. If it was at a location that was really visible, I’d get it JetCoated. I just wanted to clean it up.
more parts came in yesterday. This weekend should be a good day of reassemble.

Well it was not a good weekend on the duramax. I received the y-bridge strap on Friday in the mail——- absolutely a total POS waste of money. It actually caused my bolt to brake off in the y-bridge flange. So pissed off now.
So now I’ll need to cut off the bolt hole flange on the top right side of the yard-bridge.
problem again is my new innercooler pipe from KB Diesel is made to step down to the stock Y-bridge 2” hole. So now I need to buy a pusher y-bridge and a née innercooler pipe 3”. And to match my other colored powder coating. I’ll have to buy powder coat and get it matched $$

hopefully KB Diesel will return my pipe I already bought.
