Sorry to hear... Its terrible losing a dog. It hurts as much as losing a human friend sometimes.

So sorry for you lose. My lab is now 5 and goes everywhere but work with me. I told him he wasn't allowed to have birthdays anymore. Like you said he is my best friend, always listens, never talks back or judges, and no matter what kind of day you had to come home and see him waiting to see you is the best (I'm also single so a dog is all I have to come home to). It will pass but don't ever forget the simple lesson dogs can teach us.

Sorry to hear the news man. I know what it is like. It really tore me up when we lost ours. She was 10 and I never got over it. That was 5 years ago now. I was really a mess for a long time.

So sorry to hear it man. I lost my lab of 13 years a few years ago now and that was extremely difficult. It's always amazing to me the people that treat their dogs like absolute crap and then look at me funny when I let mine inside the house, actually play with him, take him for rides in the cab and such always saying "it's just a freakin dog". It makes me want to smack them upside the face and ask if they even realize the bond they're missing out on. I don't think I could live without a dog, these past few years where i haven't been able to have mine with me has been hard enough lol

Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my lab a few years back at the ripe age of 16. Sucks to lose a good friend like that. My thoughts go out to you man.

UGHH I can't even think about losing one of mine. Sometimes I cry just knowing her time is coming (she's 11). Keep your head up and get another one, but don't forget what you had!!!!! Maybe consider getting a rescue or a dog from the humane society... They truly know you saved their life!!

I feel for you.... I have been through it twice!!!

IT SUX!!!!!

Remember, the life she gave you, unconditional love she showered you with, and all the happiness you two shared!

Now, go find a new PUP, millions need homes and someone as loving and giving as you to share a home with.

It is just a few days away from the day I had to put my bassett hound down last year. Took a week long trip with him and had to have him put down less than a week after we got back. Like you said they just keep on giving. Fred was eat up with cancer and he let me take him on a week long trip to the dunes. When I told my friends they just couln't believe that the dog that was having a good time at camp was in the ground a week later. I felt like he cheated me out of 10 years, but I count everyday I had with my homie as a Blessing. Sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. We lost our Weimaraner this summer. We went camping all the time. That's him in my signature picture. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. Truly, Man's best friend.

We put our Rott down on Veterans Day last year , still sucks when I think about the ole fella he was 12 1/2 years old when I had to do that. Saw him the day he was born & was talking to him @ the vets office until his heart and breathing stopped. KILLED our daughter , she is an year and a half older than him , she didn't remember him NOT being around. I feel your pain .rip:
