I have purchased a Mercury extended warranty for my truck that covers diesel injectors. I was wondering if anyone else had an extended warranty and used it on the injector failure. Since I have 72000 miles and no injector problem yet I was wondering if when they fail will the ext. warranty company replace all the injectors like the factory warranty or just the one that is bad? my 7 years comes up in May.

mine is under injector warranty until june 2011 and i just had 7 of 8 go bad. high balance rates and GM will NOT cover them. i even called GM direct and complained. unless you have a high return rate or fuel in oil you may have problems getting them warrantied. they are getting tight on what they cover. i am not happy with my situation at all and the first dealer i took my truck to told me i have blown head gaskets and they also told me the injectors checked out fine so i went some where else and they found out 7 of 8 are bad. so now i am replacing them my self.

I had an injector issue my extended only authorized the one injector to be replaced. they stated they would not cover any other injectors until they failed.

I bought mine from a Ford dealer. I purchased the Ford premium extended warranty at time of purchase. About a week after I took it home, it started having starting issues. No smoke that I ever saw. in 2 days it would not start at all. Towed to Chevy dealer and it tested high return rates. Extended warranty covered replacement of all injectors.
