I know there are thousands of people out there running 285's on their stock 6.5" rims. With no problems. I also know a guy that runs a 315 on his stock rims for 15K and no problems. I am just getting your opinion on whether i should mount BFG 295/75/R16 on the stock rim, I got them for a killer deal and dont want to spend money on an 8" rim right now. I dont haul big loads at all, im using the truck for pleasure driving and work. I do know about the tread wear that would happen, but Ill play with tire pressure to figure that out.

i never had a problem and i ran 315's for at least 30k

yea stock 6.5 aluminum rims...tire mounter is a good friend he just said whatever

I have 305's on in the winter on my stock rims and they fit no problem too...

I have 295/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock rims and have no problem.
