Has anyone else had the problem of ac blowing hot when they are idling truck does not get hot at all and it doesn’t do it everytime just most of the time?? Took it to shop but it wouldn’t do it of course!!

Check fan clutch operation- usually if the ac works well otherwise but turns hot when sitting still at an idle it is the fan clutch not engaging properly and therefor does not pull enough air through to keep the ac working as it should. We just ran into this on our LMM service truck with the electronic fan clutch

Can you verify the ac clutch is turning when it starts blowing hot air and the line going to filter/drier is cold? If not there is a start. If it is still turning and lines are cold then it could be a blend door going to hot for some reason.

I just noticed today it’s wanting to get alittle hot but fluid level is good
