Hi Guys,

I have a question that I'm a little confused.

I need a pick-up to work and I will used it about 8 times a year for long traveling. I'll make around 25-30k miles hauling a 44' fiftwheel trailer with total towing weight of 16500-17000 pounds.

I know that the 3500 dually is the way to go put I plan to use the truck as a daily driver for the rest of the year and a 3500 is a little big for around town.

From your experience, does a 2500 will do the towing for the kind of set-up I'll get or the only way to go is the dually ?

Truck and trailer are not bought yet but I need to make a decision pretty quick in the next 2 weeks

Thanks guys

David

the 3500would be the best choice but if you really want a 2500 you probably need airbags and to regear it to 4.10 or something like that. imo
