I am adding a backup camera to my 2007.5 gmc sierra lmm. I need help finding an inexpensive camera that will fit into the tailgate bezel. What cameras will fit?

Subscribed.
I'm looking to to the same.
Someone added one to their third brake light.
I asked how it looked when the brake was lit but never got an answer.

I put one of these in to connect to my CTS2, still haven't wired it though. One of the review gives instructions for flipping the image over to be angled correctly, it was easy to do. Had to get a longer cable than it came with for my truck, it was short by a few feet....

Hooked it up temporarily just to see, picture looked ok, but don't have any real experience with it yet.

If the bezel is already molded for a camera, I'm gonna guess you are going to have to use the same brand camera as the brand of the bezel.

I bought and installed this one on my 08 Silverado. My aftermarket Stereo/GPS had an input on the back using an RCA jack which this one came with. It worked perfectly!

If you dont have a radio tht will accept the input there are some that are provided with a rear view mirror or a wired or wireless display screen to display the camera view.

I bought a used 06 WT and the tailgate bezel was broken off like so many you see these days. So I took advantage of that. I got a good camera, glued on a strong magnet from a salvaged harddrive and then it just sticks on the metal under the handle as you see in the pix. I'd be first to admit that looks like a shadetree setup. The photo makes it look worse than it is from a distance.

I also added a small slide slide switch in an unused plug on the dash so I could turn on the camera whenever I wanted rather than tied to backup switch.

I ran the wiring by drilling a small hole in the grommet for the gear shift on the driver side floorboard. It was necessary to run the power with ignition on along with the video cable since you can't pick that up in back.

A big advantage of having the camera in that handle is that when you put the tailgate down you see straight down to the trailer hitch. Very useful.

BTW, don't buy one of those cameras that mount on the license plate, they are not waterproof and will eventually fog up or show droplets inside.

Looks like the factory one?

This looks to be the same, maybe they's be willing to part with just a camera and not the bezel?
