the service Battery Charging System light on my 2013 2500hd Duramax came on a couple days ago...I knew it had to be my batteries because I put a new alternator on 10 months ago and I could smell sulfur coming thru my vents. Well today I put 2 new batteries in it and my service Battery light is still on and my volts gauge is halfway between 9 & 14. Any suggestions?

The only reason you should have a service charging system message/mil is if there is something wrong with the alternator.

Alternator output voltage will always be more than 12 volts. Use a meter and see what the output is. According to you volt gauge its only 11.5-12
