Hi there, from Ohio. Just sold my 2002 Silverado 2500HD 6.0 and picked up a new 2019 2500HD Duramax. First diesel I've owned.

I'm happy with the truck but a little disappointed that I have to take it in already. Just turned over 1100 miles and noticed it sporadically since about 800 but now it's pretty constant. The cooling fan blade is hitting the shroud. Having never owned a diesel I did some research and attributed it to the "typewriter tick". I just couldn't stand the sound so I kept digging and sure enough if I wiggle the shroud it gets worse/better. Will be making a trip to the dealer after work today.

Otherwise I'm loving the diesel so far! The best gas mileage I got the old truck was 12.5mpg. I'm getting 21.5 freeway/18 mixed!

Added low profile tool box and window vents. Otherwise pretty much stock still. I've had it 6 months now and put on 13,000 miles. The towing capabilities of this truck are amazing.
