Hey guys, been browsing the forum for the last week since I got my first diesel and decided to join. This makes my 6th GMT900 but my first diesel, so I've got a lot to learn. I'm very mechanically inclined and do 98% of my own work so the knowledge here is great. Traded my lowered '04 Yukon SLT and some cash for this truck from a buddy because he really has no use for it and thought it needed injectors. It's still got the originals and has the slightest bit of haze at idle, so it'll get them at some point but it's not a "gotta do it now" situation I don't believe.

2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD CCSB 4x4 SLE
-214k miles
-Original injectors
-White with charcoal cloth. Buckets/console/Bose/steering wheel controls
-Leveled with Bilsteins
-2" adapters with LML 20s and 305/55/20 Falken A/Ts
-Flo-Pro down-pipe back exhaust with a 6" stainless tips
-Airdog 165
-Bully Dog plug in tuner
-Ranch Hand brush guard
-LED interior lights
-New amber LED cab lights
-Not on the truck but he gave me painted '06 style tow mirrors/factory flares/rear bumper plastics
-Already swapped in my Pioneer bluetooth headunit
-Already swapped my Denali headlights from the Yukon that are retrofitted with Morimoto projectors/HIDs and Auxbeam LED high beams

Going to do soon:
-Oil change with Rotella 15-40
-Fresh fuel filter
-New air filter
-New driver's side seat foam (already have)
-Debadge and buff (the paint is really trashed)
-New fog lights/corner lights/Silverado tail lights/3rd brake light (already have)
-Change DRL to turn signal socket and put LEDs in all 4
-Install painted pieces
-LED pods under rear of truck for reverse lights
-LED bar in front bumper, sunk in center area
-Silverado tailgate spoiler
-New windshield (has a couple chips)
-New door glass (PO took it in the mud a lot and rolled the windows down, scratching the hell out of them all)
-Outer window sweeps
-5% tint with a 5% sun strip
-Clean and paint the frame/detail underneath best I can

Thanks guys! My buddy has been wanting to trade for my Yukon forever and when he started this truck up the Sunday before last, there was a ton of smoke coming out the exhaust. That's why I trailered it the 5 hours home. I let it warm up the next day and have been driving it since. A fresh tank of diesel and some different additive and the smoking has almost totally cleared up. I'm loving the power and hoping for decent mileage as well since I'm used to gassers getting 10-12 on 33s lol.

Forgive me guys, I know I'm gonna get 40 lashes for this. I've been on forums for years but this one I can't figure out here. How do you edit your posts? Normally there's a button somewhere on the page or under user CP but I can't find it or a sticky....trying to fix the pictures and I meant GMT800, not 900

Thanks guys, I appreciate the welcome! I've already done quite a bit to the truck, just have to get some good pictures. I've realized why they're turned sideways, it's how I take them on the phone, so I will do better when taking pics.

This thread will help you with some info regarding maintaining your vehicle, as well as some more things:

Thanks! I was just reading that last night, some good info there.
