I am happy to say I'm a new duramax owner. Bought a 2004 gmc 2500 4x4 lb7 went home notice oil leak on passenger side kind of halfway up block but can't really tell and you can't see it from top? Any ideas will be help ful.

Pull the fender well, but it is probally a leak in you pcv system or a valve cover gasket.

Just changed fuel filter. But whats the pcv? And how expensive is the fix?

PCV reroute isn't too much just takes some time. Valve cover gaskets......a bit longer.

You can make your own kit. Go to PPE's or allseasons website and buy a set of crank case breathers, they are aluminum and bolt onto the valve cover so you can attach a length of hose to them and route the oily gasses to the frame rails of your truck not the intake of your engine.
