New to the forum. New to GM trucks. New to owning a Diesel

Just picked up a '13 Sierra SLE 2500HD this weekend. Truck is 2WD, ext cab w/ 8' bed and had 105K on it when I picked it up.

Looking forward to learning about the truck here

Well, rule #1 of owning an HD diesel truck, work it hard and often. If you are one of these guys that just drive the thing back and forth to the office and don‘t tow, or use it to haul a little fishing boat every once in a while, you will likely have lots of problems with it.
Otherwise, looks like you got a good truck, the LML is a good motor. Many talk about the “CP4 timebomb“ that costs $10,000 to fix if it blows up. While yes, it is a noted issue with some trucks, my experience has been that they tend to last when worked hard, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Nice ride. @Hoser is right, give it a good work out now and then and it'll love you back.
