No cruise, tow mode, or manual shift

I replaced the air bag clock spring. Now no cruise control/Tow Mode or Manual Shift. Also my CTS2 monitor would stay on for about 1 minute then shut off. The truck threw the code U0101 which was loss of communication with TCM. And code P0678 which was glow plug #8. I'm not sure if there related issues. I replaced the IGN 0 10 amp fuse and that fixed the monitor issue and then I cleared the codes. The U0101 code has not come back. Truck shifts smoothly and drives fine. I checked and everything is plugged in. The shifter has a large orange wire and the wires aren't frayed and have no signs of visible damage. Any help would be much appreciated!!!. I'm supposed to be towing a trailer out of state today but the truck isn't moving until I get this figured out.
Truck is a 2006 LBZ Duramax Sierra 2500 2wd SLE with 202k miles. HSP high flow Y bridge kit. EFI live with DSP5 switch. Aftermarket LED headlights, amp steps.

I opened it back up and went through it completely. Everything is hooked up. I checked the blue harness block and counted the connectors in the block and compared it to the old one and it was the same. I looked at the pins themselves and none were bent or broken. I bought the clock spring from the gm dealer. I'll send pictures tomorrow. I'm just at a loss.

The attached is specific to my 2008 model. I don't know how different, if any, it is from your truck. Test various pins to see where you should have voltage, ground, etc.

if you have aftermarket stereo pull there radio fuse and unplug everything that’s plugged into the obd2 port including the amp steps if that’s how they are getting power. I wonder if they are blocking the data line and not allowing it to establish connection to the bcm. I know the cts can do that and maybe since the truck saw it wasn’t working before and shit that part off and now since you put the new one in it cant see it. Also if you have aftermarket stereo try taking it out and plugging in the factory one if pulling the fuse didn’t work

I don't have an aftermarket stereo. I did splice a Bluetooth receiver into the xm wiring but that was over 3 years ago and haven't messed with it since then. The amp steps get power from the fuse block/box. They have an inline fuse. Theres a switch for the amp steps mounted on a plate under the kick panel. I can just yank the fuse one the steps and the Bluetooth receiver has an off switch. I will unplug the CTS from the obdII and see if that works. I ordered a new shift lever and I'm going to try just plugging the new one into the harness and shifting the installed one into manual and seeing if that and tow/haul work. I will try unplugging all that today and report back on the results. Thanks again!

I'm looking for your IGNO 10 amp fuse on the wiring diagram and can't find it. Wiring diagrams don't always agree with our trucks.

#8 IGN A 40A Ignition Switch RUN, START, RUN/START/ACCY, STARTER Relay
#9 IGN B 40A Ignition Switch RUN/ACC, RUN/START
Can't be one of these a/c these are 40A fuses

#27 IGN E 10A A/C COMP Relay, Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch, Turn Signal/Multifunction Switch, Headlamp Leveling Components, Clutch Start Switch

#37 SEO IGN 10A DEFOG Relay, Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)
#38 TBC IGN 1 10A Body Control Module (BCM)

it appears that that IGN0 (zero) powers your ECM and TCM. From your fuse, the power travels on the pink wire to the underhood block and then is distributed to TCM and ECM. Somewhere there is a short.
