I have been undesided on what combo I am going to run, this the reason I have not put a tuner and exhaust yet. I am ready to get rid of this dpf and get some mileage. Most of the video's ive listened to the 5" mbrp and quad have a bad hiss which I think sounds like SHIT!! I have seen one with magnaflow and it did not have the hiss??? Please let me know which combo will not give the hiss and just a good tone, doesnt need to be loud and im not interested in gauges, as they will not sell me on a tuner. Just looking for mileage and 4'' exhuast with good sound, thanks for the info.

If you don't want exhaust hiss, go with the Edge CS or CTS Race. They are tuned to eliminate the hiss. If I can help let me know.
its not the exhaust that makes the hiss its the turbo...the only way to make it stup is to tune it out...

and you're gonna need some sort of tune in order to remove that exhaust
The hissing sound is due to the vane position of you turbo at idle.

Im not sure abut other tuners but with EFI Live you can change the possession of the vanes to eliminate the his and sound more like the LB7's
The only two tuners that can get rid of that hiss are the Edge Evo and EFI Live. Edge being of the "canned" tuner variety, and EFI Live is full custom tuning software that allows you to tweek and change parameters to your liking.

Let me know if I can help. I've ran both and could answer any questions you might have.

but ive read so many issues with the edge programers on this site, issues about updates??? and whats the difference between those to edges???
edge juice is junk..theyre talking about the edge evolution its much better
The new Edge programmers are top notch and I highly recommend them. I was one of the original testers for the Race Evo.
You do have to update it from time to time, but thats a good thing. It means they're continually improving the tuning and fixing any glitches or anything of that nature. EFI Live is the same way though. They release updates for the software that add features and such.
sounds good thanks for the advice, I guess Im gonna get the edge evo! Deff. dont want that hissing that is an aggravating noise!

X2 On that! :thumbsup
Correct me if I am wrong, but once you put it in gear the hiss returns...
Yeah the hiss is pretty annoying if you ask me. Glad I don't have to listen to it all the time :D

Let me know if I can help you out, I'd be happy to set you up with a DPF delete package! :)

The Edge Evolution, CS (Race), and CTS (Race) have been excellent with very few issues. Most of the Edge problems you read about are going to be related to the Juice/Attitude modules that have had a few different issues over the years. You can buy any of the Evolution, CS, or CTS products with confidence though. If you do have any issues with one, we will refund your money and you can go with something else.
Thanks for the help guys, and Tyler as soon as I get the extra cash ill be gettin with you...
Sounds good, if you come up with any questions please feel free to ask.

mine doesnt.....all depends on the tune... i can make it never hiss and sound like a gas v8 kinda...only your not gonna go anywhere and dump black smoke hahaa
I think thats the first time i've ever heard anyone say they don't like the sound of a straight piped lmm with the whistling lol.
I did not like the hiss on mine so I tuned it out with EFI. It sounds alot better Idleing. I would always think it was my yard sprinklers going off....I acually had a guy tell me I had a leak in my tire when he first heard it.
Mine is tuned to stay away until I hit 1000 rpms then the vanes close back up where they need to be.
I like a good turbo whistle, I meant that nasty sounding ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
