I changed my alternator on a 2008 Chevy duramax. I did not remove the battery cables and it arced. Now I have no power, no lights, nothing. I checked all known fuses and connections and all seems fine.

probably fried your ecm, these trucks have more electronics in them then the space shuttle. Make sure you check every fuse in both under hood and in cab you just never know. I had the same issue your describing and found the ecm fuse in cab blown? I believe thats what it was
