I'm looking for a good OBD II scanner that will do more then the EFILive AutoCal I have now.
I'm happy with the basics the AutoCal gives me but I'd like a scanner that will do more than load custom tunes and reset error codes.
I understand the AutoCal will do more but I am not willing to jump through the hoops to do it.
I understand the best of these scanners is the Tech II but I can't afford one of them.
I want a scanner that can do an injector balance test just by plugging it in and going through the menus. My guess is if a scanner can do a balance test it can do a lot more too.
Anyone have a favorite scanner that can do an injector balance test?

Edge insight, monitors several parameters including balance rates.

The AutoCal has to be programmed thru EFI V-8 scan & tune on your computer/PC.
The AC will only hold so many PIDS, you have to make the changes for what you want it to monitor, if they’re not programmed in the device.
As mentioned in post #2 the Edge Insight CS, CTS, CS2 or CTS2 would be the way to go monitoring several pids including balance rates.
Here’s a couple of examples.

Searching the forums I found some posts detailing how to free up PIDs on the AutoCal. 20 years ago I would have worked my way through it but I'm too old for it now.
I'm looking at the CTS2 but the left side is going to be a busy place with the three gauge pod and the CTS2.

I think they have adapters for a CTS2 to fit in one of the 3 gauge pods, search this.
If you don't want to do this then you'll need to find another location for the CTS2, if you want it.
You also have the Edge CS2 its smaller but pretty much has the same functions.

20 years ago I didn't have any of this electronic stuff except for a pager.
It's true, you can teach a old dog new tricks.
I Might be a little slow but functional.

I've seen the adapters. Probably go with a windshield mount or the smaller CS2.
I can handle technology but I avoid it if I can. I just don't have time for it.
