i have a 2010 lmm with straight exhaust and efi live tuning. no cat, no dpf. 3" turbo back. my understanding is that during the warm up period the vvt position will change and also raise idle. after i installed my banks intake, paired with the exhaust, this became very loud. almost like blades spinning on metal. after about 5 mins this would quiet down.
my question is, why is the vvt briefly changing and bringing on this noise after its warmed up? i have only noticed when in park and im outside the truck. maybe it has always done this but ive never noticed. id say it lasts about 5 seconds and than back to normal.

Sitting at idle even when warm they do change tone occasionally I'm guessing you just haven't noticed it until now because you freed up the air so much which made it louder
