SO my grandfather has determined that he no longer wants his old 1990 Ram 150
its got a 5.9 gasser (great motor)
So here is my question, its an older rig that needs work, new body and so forth. I will never get out of it what i put in but I want to hand me down to my kids seeing that its been in the family. The old dodge has a nostalgic look to it and i want to preserve that. Now here is where the forum comes in,

We can all respect an older truck no matter who made it. I know its kind of FUGLY but should I

a) build it to OEM
b) build it to the newer updated systems and make it stronger faster etc .
c) sell the thing and don't bother (not likely)

Throw a 12 valve in it and build it!

Update it so that it's reliable but keeps that nostalgic look to it.
