I have a subscription on Mitchel DIY for my 2015 LML, I would think the info would be the same for 2016. quick read of the code description on Mitchell and i see no sub categories like other codes on some vehicles ive seen, so id ignore the 00.

the description is "EGR Cooler Bypass Position Sensor Circuit High (Bank 1)". The condition for setting the DTC is that the ECM detected a voltage higher than 5V for more than 5 seconds. This sound more like a wiring issue to me than a bad valve, but other repairs listed that fixed the issue indicate that they replaced the valve, however there is TSB PI1449 that indicates if P24C4, P2493, P2495, AND P06A3 are present to replace the valve.

the the associated chart indicates that either the 5V reference wire(Grey) OR the EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor circuit (GRN/WHT) are shorted to voltage higher than the normal 5V for this circuit. (most likely 12V) .
