Parking assist

We have a new camper thats heavier with 1200LBS tongue when loaded. I installed a Blue Ox sway pro sway prevention WDH on the truck. Even if I select parking assist with this hitch installed on the truck my parking assist refuses to come on. When I remove the hitch it comes right back on. With our previous camper I didn't have this issue. Any suggestions?

Also had the service trailer brake system come on for a second. After disconnecting the trailer plug was a little dirty so I cleaned and applied some dielectric grease so when we next use it for our trip we will see if it comes on again.

Have you gone into the personalization menus the audio system and changed the park assist setting to 'On with Towbar'?

Park Assist
If equipped, this feature can assist in backing up and parking the vehicle.
See Assistance Systems for Parking or Backing pg 279.
Select Off, On, or On with Towbar.

Also the built in brake controller is very sensitive to dirty trailer plugs. Had the same issue with mine and had to take a small abrasive pad and clean the contacts and sprayed some die electric on the trailer cord end.

Yes I did go to on with tow bar. I checked the trailer plug it didn't look bad, brand new trailer by the way. I did apply some dielectric grease to the plug for next time I hook up.

if anyone has an idea I replaced my rear bumper with a Honey badger and did not even disconnect the sensors Service park assist keeps coming up, I even checked each sensor to make sure O ring was in place etc used a Snap on scanner which would not even read it? Lost!
