So today I put my truck into drive to hear and feel a huge clunk... I inspected the drive shaft for blown u-joint and the trans for broken mounts. All looked fine.

When I got back into the truck I noticed my indicator light wasn't lite up anymore.

I did search on the forum and found others had the same problem and it ended up being the gear select module on the side of the trans.

I called the local auto parts store and they also said that it could be the torque converter sensor. Is this possible?

Just want to make sure before I order because the gear select module is like 800.00 and the torque converter sensor is like 40.00

Not sure where you called for the NSBU switch (my guess is the dealer) but 800 seems really high priced.

Your talking about the little line on the dash that is under the PRND321 right?

Yes the little line below gears.

Car Quest quoted me 800 and the Chevy dealer quoted me 1100.

Maybe they are looking at the wrong part.

It's the electric module that the shifter cable is attached to correct?
