I have searched this forum and others and haven't come across any verifiable information about the PCM (if there is such a thing).
A diagnostic tool that my mechanic is using says a module ON the PCM needs to be replaced.
Does PCM exist?
Does it have replaceable parts ON it?
alldatadiy does not reference anything called a PCM.
Internet searches coming up with zero
2007.5 LMM
Thanks for any info

Your looking for the ECM (Engine control module)
PCM's are old tech engine and trans combo controllers. Not used for some time now. Engine and trans controllers are now separate.

Yep every discussion I see about "PCM" is either talking about some other brand of vehicle or eventually turns into and ECM discussion instead.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply but still no PCM for LMM found.
They appear to have stopped using them at the 2007.5 upgrade to LMM
I'm thinking the post above by DMAX102 is correct.
I just want to be sure before I proceed.

I think the only duramax to use a PCM was the LB7. I might be wrong on that.
