Yes you can do that. Just get blocker plates & you may have to get some different bolts from the hardware store to cap off the end of the EGR where the up-pipe connected to it.

Don't even need to do that....just leave it open and bypass the coolant line so it feeds the heater core. Unplug the EGR to disable it. LLY, it's gonna throw a hard code and light up Engine light, until you alter the tuning.

Can't remember.... Easy enough to just unplug it and see, before you remove anything.

The blocker plate closes off the flow of exhaust gas to the EGR....no pipe, no flow.

You can just get that one plate. Only reason i recommended using a plate and some hardware was to keep debris out of the EGR if you decide to use it again or convert the truck back. If you just plan on tossing it then Hook em is right just unplug and swap.

You're not gonna upgrade the down pipe that has to come off?

 

I did that already lol didn’t have the money for the up pipe at the time. So far I’ve done the S&B mouthpiece and CAI, MBRP downpipe, MBRP 5in straight pipe, and the Fass 95. Next is the HSP Y bridge and cold side pipe.
