You're an idiot, ONCE AGAIN. Quadrasteer had no problems (I mean, no major problems, like LB7-injector type problems). I dont give a shit if you "work at a dealer", you're still a friggin dumbass and you always will be in my book for making that stupid comment back in the "can tuners be detected" thread.

You've lost all credibility and no one in this thread should listen to you.

Ill say it again. Quadrasteer was a very reliable system. There were NEVER any accidents related to it "messing up", and there have never been any major failures. Anyone who says otherwise is an ignorant fool who is ASSuming things (because, OMG its 4 wheel steering, SO complicated, that PROBABLY MUST have a lot of problems, holy shit) or heard from "a brothers uncles best friends mailmain that his brothers uncles best friends mailman had a Q-steer truck and the computer 'messed-up' and swerved the truck into oncoming traffic and killed a bus full of 500 school children on their way to church"

Quadrasteer is badass. It wasnt common because GM initially priced it too high, and didnt market it correctly. People were turned off by the price, and lost interest. Not to mention all the fallacies about it being "JUNK". By the time GM lowered the price, everyone had forgotten about it. It really is sad, because it was an awesome system that made our trucks turn sharper than compact cars.

same reason i wanted a regular cab short bed dmax, not too many of them runnin around and a quadrasteer dmax would be different cause i have yet to see one of them. i just want something different

really doesnt matter just dont wanna buy all new stuff because that would be outrageous

I'd get drunk and flop the damn thing over. But it would be cool for a mud machine

I saw a factory 2500HD quadrasteer at the Heinrich Chevrolet truck parade. The thing was cool as hell because I had never seen any 2500 quadrasteer. I talked to the guy and he said that they only made like ~2000 of them. I thought it was stupid rare and super awesome! I would probably give up a leg for a quadrasteered 2500 Duraburb! Good luck I hope you get it done! :drink

yeah. i was told theres sensors in the collum and some other things. i just need to know what to do.

Column sensors, reprogram the BCM to accept those signals, dash buttons, then obviously the rear end components, & wiring. I WANT to say there's a controller for it as well. The system operate electronically iirc and has fail safes to return the wheel to center and lock them in the event of a malfunction.

you seem to know what your talking about. so do you think itll work?

youtube search "duramax yukon duraburb"

We have built several of them and now we are doing Q steer to my wifes LBZ ESV, it rocks and the Dana60 GM used holds up to the 450 HP we dump on them, I wouldn't do twins with it though, that might be the limit. :)

put 241,000 on a gmc yukon with quadrasteer and no problems untill some fuck decided that the rear tie rods had to be replaced now every time i get in the lights on and the steering wheel is crooked. but i love it wish the idiots at gm could get their heads out of their ass and market it better.

Not a big deal, we have done a bunch of Duramax Qudrasteer's and if you change the tie rods you have to go back to the dealer, give them your VIN and request a "re-learn". It requires TechII and 15 min. I've done it too, should have left it alone. In the end they weren't bad for me anyway and I had to eat the whole thing, part of the learning curve.

so pretty much just need everything thats not normal like all the wiring and buttons and sensors and have it programmed and it will work

I had a quadrasteer Denali and it never worked right. the rear drives were replaced about 4 times rear end clutches and pinion 3 times and the tranfer case and tranny twice. It was great when it worked, but I won't ever get one again.
