Doing my head gaskets soon and will have the truck torn apart. also time to change fuel filter, reading too much info on here. I have only used a WIX filter. I can not recall the price, but I think it was rather spendy. If I plan on owning my truck for the forseeable future is it worth it to puchase a Nicktane adapter and run CAT filters? As I understand there is no water separator in the filter, it is not needed as sworn by many on this site.

Never had a water in fuel line message come up expect when I first purchased the truck (used), but I was already changing it anyway.

not sure what micron size the WIX is or what the CAT is.

hook me up with some knowledge please. I just rebuilt the housing last April after I got EFI live.

How often are you changing fuel filters?

P553203 is the Donaldson number, Rated at 3 microns.
Cat 1R-0750 is 2 micron.
Wix stock replacement I think is around 10 micron.
