I'm getting really strong raw fuel smell in the cab. I've looked all over the engine and don't see any leaks, but the smell appears to come from the engine compt. If I go to recirc mode on the ventilation, or am moving, the smell goes away. I've inspected under the hood, no signs of leak, fuel lines are tight, and the smell happened before I put anythng on the truck, though I noticed it more after the down pipe mod. Loosened that, checked it, checked the bottom, used antiseize, no change. I'm stumped, any ideas?:help

check for an exhaust leak around the turbo or up-pipes that can case the fuel smell in the cab also after its set overnight check for wet spots under it to see if anything has been leaking

FYI, I found the source of the fuel smell. The injector under the engine control connector bundle (#2 I think) is leaking a little. I'm going to have to move or undo the entire bundle and bracket to look at it. Joy. I'm working 6/12's right now, so not much time to work on it. I'm driving the Exploder that I have up for sell instead. Anyone ever have a problem like this, and where do I get the seals to fix it, if it's not the injector itself?

my truck was havin the same issue, and one of my injectors just took a crap today. Don't wanna rain on your parade but I wouldnt be too optimistic if I were you

It might be the injector return line-- that is a plastic tee and they all connect together on each side. GM sells the line with 4 tees. Check a little closer ( the driver's side left side is numbered 2-4-6-8, the passenger side is numbered 1-3-5-7.)

i found this injector return line on the internet the part number is PN: 26402 this will perfectly fit my 2004 GM 6.6L Duramax but i am wondering if i also need to change the "Diesel Injector Line Rocker Gasket Kit" ? the price is staggering $29. such a pain in the arse.lol
