On the Block Heater Recall electric cord there appears to be a thermostat at the plug end which only turns on the heater at a preset temperature ( below-0* ) … Has anyone removed this electronic thermostat So That, when plugged in the block heater is working??? I would like to be able to preheat the motor even when above -0*….. TIA to your reply…

A lot of people have reported that their block heater works above 0. If you have a smart plug that reports power usage plug it in and see. On my 22 it was claimed there was a thermostat but when I plug it in above 0 it definitely still pulls power.
