What's your guy's opinion. I need new lower ball joints. Is it fairly easy to just replace the ball joint? Or should I just get a whole new control arm?

no reason to replace the whole arm unless there is a better option available, which as far as i know theres not any LCA on the market (looking at you duramax store) so the new arm would have the same ball joint in it.
Your lower control arm is ok, the ball joint and bushings probably need to be replaced.
The upper can be purchased with ball joint and bushings pre-installed.
That's much easier, and actually cheaper, to buy than the separate parts.
But, the lower has to be removed and massaged a little.
