Hey guys, I have an 08 2500 chevy with the OEM DVD and cd player. I bought the same thing to replace it due to the old one being damaged. I tool out the old one and connected the new one the same way and I turn the key on and the stereo does nothing. I checked the fuses and nothing wrong there. It is a refurbished unit and I'm rather sure it works. Is there something I need to know? Thanks guys

It has to be programmed with a Tech 2 at your dealer. Normal charge is 1 hour for this.

That's the whole reason I threw my stock deck in the garbage, horse shit theft deterrent that was gonna cost me 150 bucks. All I did was unplug it to work on things.

yep he is right. unfortuanetly for you, as much as you probably payed for the stock head unit u could of gotten a extremely nice aftermarket indash with navigation that doesnt require a stupid ass dvd to show the nav and you prolly be alot happier than right now
