so i just bought my truck. i have an intake and exhaust. i really just want a nice tuner to top it off and should be alright. in the process though i want to be able to roll black. the quadzilla was looking like a nice purchase, just wanted to get some real world feedback from the quadzilla guys. becuase if i can roll black at the little honda that cut me off....whats the point:cool

With enough fuel to roll smoke (I'm not talking about a puff, I do mean enough to ROLL a thunderhead out of your tailpipe. ), you will likely end up hurting the clutch or auto tranny. So be aware and prepared for that.


That said, I have no first hand experience with the Quad but do have some with the VA Stoopid box. It would a roll a decent cloud but would also CERTAINLY destroy a stock tranny or clutch. You might be able to get a trans safe tune made with EFI Live that can fuel heavily enough to roll smoke clouds without harming the clutch or trans too bad.

hmmm....well hell we all want a dam thunder head that would clear say a street full of innocent by standers:rof but that may not be practical for me now. im looking for when i put my size 13 foot on the skinny pedal i want a decent cloud to come out and ill be happy.


for say my bro has a 6.0 powerstoke with a sct? tuner and on the race setting that bastard puts out a fawkin cloud at take off. then when were on the freeway and he gits it on there is black pissing off everyone behind us. but he has serious injector issues with his truck


so if that made any sense thats what i would like. im not trying to blow up my truck or tranny right now either. but not even having a puff of black right now blows

I think a PPE excelerator tuner might fit your needs the best, but like stated above a big tune will hurt the trans if you drive it roughly. EFi live would be the absolute best but is not for just your everyday tuner, it takes alot of time and patience and could also ruin some costly parts if used incorectly!

I rune about a 100hp (est) tune on my auto truck with no limping issues and it will fog out the persons headlights behind you at a stop sign if you want it to!!!!!!! But other than that its really hard to get a dmax to smoke once the turbo is boosted up un less your running a extreem tune!!
