As does GM- I was told that when I had some problems with my 03 and was told by the service manager/head tech at my local garage NOT to use anything containing ALCOHOL in the Dmax, per GM. Have some people used these products, yes. I just know that since I was told direct and have to bring my truck in for work and they know that I have been told not to use it- I want that to be out of the question.I would not recommend using ANY additive with alcohol, Period. The alcohol can and will dry out your seals in your fuel system over time and defeats the purpose of lubricating the system. As for the added mileage, I would not be able to speak to that as I will not run it in my Maxes, but I will say that if you add alcohol to the combustion process you will probably see an increase in the efficiency of the fuel burn. I just would not add it through the fuel system as an additive. Injectors may not be a very big issue for non-LB7 owners, but believe me, if you run additives formulated with alcohol, they will become an issue before you expect them too. At the very least you will have added weeping of the fuel into the crank case as a result of dried out seals.
True that- got a gallon of it in garage for the car...:drinkit works great in gas engines
