i just bough an 04.5 chevy lly with 99,000 on her! i am servicing every fluid in the truck to start my own schedule...i have already done;

engine oil/filter
fuel filter
power steering/hydro boost flush
F/R diffs

-now the question is should i just replace the spin on filter and drain the pan? or do a more in depth service with a pan drop and internal filter?
it has no shifting problems or anything like that either

-also what transfe case fluid is reccomended? ive heard several different types which confuses me?

thanks guys

with that mileage i would replaced both the external and internal filter and use a quality sythetic trans fluid
and for the transfer case this is from gm

Manual Transfer Case
DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid. Look for “Approved for the H-Specification” on the label.

Automatic Transfer Case
AUTO-TRAK II Fluid (GM Part No. U.S. 12378508, in Canada 10953626).
