Apparently I have problems. I have a solid tire light which I was told that means my tpms is faulty. Have any of you ever replaced yours? I bet the dealer would charge me an arm and a leg. Or is it really worth replacing. I never had this on my old 95 truck and just checked the air pressure as needed.

I had Discount Tire do mine - $25-$30/sensor if I recall correctly.

Edit: I thought you were talking about sensors... which should tell you on the DIC which one is bad. If your whole TPMS system is bad... I have no experience with that.

I just hit the button to Change to miles. It really is a useless light.

I put H2s on my truck and I still have the light (because no sensors). Unless you have to get safety inspected, I wouldn't worry about it.

It's really a simple fix. Go to a reputable auto parts store and purchase 4 ac Delco tpms. When you have the tires replaced have the tire shop install the new sensors and have them "relearn" the computer to the new sensors. Don't use anything but original ac Delco equipment. They typically have a life of 4-6 years.

first, youl'll need to have your service center check to see if yur sensors are operational. if they are, you'll need to have them reset your TPMS module. if the sensors are bad, replace them and have them relearn the new sensors.
