Wanted to see if anyone else has had this [problem or has a solution. Truck is a 2022 Sierra 2500 Denali with just over 50,000 miles. Over the last few weeks it happening more frequently… When I place the truck in park and use the push button to shut it off I get an error message “Shift to Park”, although the truck does shut off the push button start stays “amber” and all you have to do to start the vehicle is press the brake and hit the button even if I remove the key fob. Most times the error clears a few seconds later and truck fully “shits off”. Other times I have to jiggle the shifter lever and sometimes I even have to start the truck back up and shift it in to / out of park multiple times.
I took it to the dealership and they basically told me I’m out of luck, they cannot replicate the problem even after I showed them this picture with the truck clearly in park and still throwing the error message.
Just trying to fix the issue so when I take it to trade it in in a few weeks they don’t hammer me on trade in value. Hate to admit it but after owning GMCs for the last 20 years I’m switching to a F250. GMCs quality and customer service has been absolute dog shit lately.
