I'm trying to make a trade for a grand cash(I just got today for selling my bike) and my 6x6 project (which I want a grand for) for his trailer. It's a gooseneck with an 18' deck and a 4' dove, flip down ramps, 1 jack, and triple axles all with brakes. He said there's a little rust on the bottom but it's not bad. The tires are about half life and it got a new deck about 3 years ago out of 2x10 treated boards. He's asking 2 grand. I thought that was an amazing deal but a few of my buds weren't impressed. What do you think????

Here's the pic

I tried once, hopefully these pics show. I'm ok with an 18 footer now because I don't have much room to park it anyways. I thought I could fit one vehicle and make brackets to hold the ramps in the air to hopefully hold 2 more quads.

it sounds like a good deal to me, around here its tough to find a crappy homemade trailer for less than 1400 bucks. Its in good shape?

He says it's nice and it pulls straight. He just doesn't need it anymore. I've seen those same crappy trailers like you said for about the same money. 1400-2000 dollars. Goosenecks(which I really want, are especially hard to find for a low price.

18 foot deck can't fit much of anything on it why in the world it has 3 axles i have no idea...my 25ft with 5ft beaver barely fits a crew cab short bed.

2 grand is a good deal IF all the lights and brakes work and he has the title in hand...and if its not a rust buckit.

It is a little short, in a perfect world I'd have a 32-35 footer, but this season I'll need a trailer for probably 3 quads. In the last 2 years I've only hauled 1 vehicle at a time or 2 quads and a dirt bike, or 2 6x6 amphibians. So I think it will be good for me since like I said I don't have alot of room to park it.

The rust is my biggest worry too, It's over 3 hours away so I hate to make the drive for nothing. He says the lights work and title is in hand.

hook it up to your truck before money changes hands and make sure they work as well as the brakes you sould be able to feel and hear them drag when you hit the slide on your contorler.

That's what I thought. It seems like it's well worth it and I really want a trailer.

Hit slide lever means to apply the trailer brakes by hand with the slide on the brake controller. That way you can tel if the brakes work.:drink

Oooooohhhhh, the slide lever is the sensitivity? I haven't had a brake controller for a long time because I'm usually just borrowing buddies' trailers and my own is only like 10' long. Can I get a decent controller for a good price at auto zone or advance auto? I heard there's an adapter wire that plugs right in under the dash.

Moment of weakness. He said no on the trade and I'm not gonna get a grand around when I need floors for my house. If anybody wants this trailer it is in the indianapolis craigslist under gooseneck trailer for 2,000. Thanks for all the responses guys. Maybe I'll find a better one in a few months.

I already posted it on craigslist. 80% scams, 15% someone asking if it's for sale, and 5% with something crappy to trade. And this is the 2nd time it's been on there.
