I was just curious, how many of you out there would like your truck to have a solid axle. This is one thing i hate about my truck. I almost bought a dodge for this reason alone. What are the rest of your opinions?
I used to feel the same way as you but counting the two trucks we have currently i have owned 4 gm ifs trucks and I have never had any problems with them other the my 98'dually liked to eat lower ball joints. All 4 of the trucks were worked hard and played hard, so.....
I agree. The 4x4 trucks are setup with a nice heavy front end. They ride nice and seem to hold up well with little problems. The only thing I dont like are there hard to lift and on the 2wd trucks you cant get 19.5 wheels unless you get a Kodiak.
I have owned a couple of ifs trucks aswell, but after about 80- 100k i allways seem to loose my cv axles. I rip holes in the boots and they leak all the fluid out and then SNAP! That and the fact that they involve a lot more to lift them really are my only two complaints. I really dont care about my ride, but then again i'm not old enough too care:tease i'm just too big of a gm fan to buy anything else.
