I'm in Mechanicsburg which is 5 minutes south of Harrisburg. I only know of 2 diesel truck specific shops. One is called NC Diesel Performance. They specialize in Cummins but do work on Duramaxes, and Powerstrokes too. I heard they're a pretty good shop but have not dealt with them personally. Another is Liberator performance in Carlisle. I've heard horror stories about their work and they rip people off. If for some reason you decide to take it there, they specialize in Powerstrokes but will work on other makes.

 

There is HT performance in Selinsgrove, Pa. He does a lot of duramax work.

 

x2 on not recommending Liberator... I talked to them some years ago about doing my 6.5 and they basically fed me BS about how much power I could get out of it. Tell you what you want to hear kinda deal, just don't question it. I have since added an extra .1L to my truck and am rid of the 6.5

I'm not too terribly impressed with a lot of the shops in the area. Mostly based on what I have seen in the past at local pulls. It would be a haul, but I think when I need motor work done I'll be seeing the guys at Blackout Performance in Western PA

Never heard of HT, have to check them out.

 

I have heard some good stuff about penn diesel in harrisburg.

 

Eisenhart diesel in new Oxford pa. He mostly does duramax but messes with a little but of everything. His names Seth, and is a cool guy.

 

Earl Blacks in Mcsherriestown, on 116 a few miles outside of Hanover. They do good work and a lot of Busses and diesels. Not positive about their knowledge of Duramaxs, but I have done a lot of business there with my 85 a few years back.

Thanks all for the responses. Most trucks didn't pan out but I appreciate the input and will use this knowledge next time I'm out in PA looking for trucks.
